Neutrality Policy

Cblindspot is the neutral layer between IP & legal teams and the software they use. We do not sell the tools we connect, measure and compare — and we enforce that separation on every account.

    Effective date: July 18, 2026

    1. Why neutrality is the product

Cblindspot connects, measures and compares intellectual property and legal technology. IP departments and law firms rely on our comparisons to buy software, on our measurements to judge what their tools deliver, and on our orchestration layer to run daily work across those tools. None of that is worth anything unless it is independent.

This policy states what we do — and refuse to do — to keep it that way, and what happens to accounts that undermine it.

    2. Our commitments

No pay-to-play. Vendors cannot pay for placement, rankings, scores, or favorable comparisons. Product scores are produced by a documented methodology applied identically to every product; commercial relationships with Cblindspot never enter the scoring.

Transparent evidence. Comparisons are built from verifiable public information, structured vendor-provided facts, independent expert assessments, and — where available — measured performance from real orchestrated workflow runs. Fabricated or unverifiable data is removed when detected.

Independent expert reviews. Experts who review products are identified as such, compensated by Cblindspot — never by the vendor under review — and required to disclose conflicts of interest.

Customer data stays customer data. Usage and measurement data from a customer's workflows is never sold or disclosed to vendors, and never used to advantage one vendor over another.

    3. Who may hold an account

The buyer platform (app.cblindspot.ai) is reserved for the buy side: IP and legal professionals, their operations teams, and their advisors, registered with their organization's email address.

Personal and disposable email addresses (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and similar) are not accepted — accountability requires knowing which organization an account represents.

Employees and representatives of software vendors referenced in our catalog may not hold buyer-side accounts. A vendor with access to buyers' evaluations, comparisons and RFPs would compromise the neutrality this platform exists to guarantee.

Vendors are welcome on the vendor side: responding to RFPs through the vendor portal, verifying their product listing, and joining the partner program. Apply through the vendor channel — never through a buyer account.

    4. Enforcement

Automated: registrations from personal-email providers and from the domains of the 2,100+ products and vendors in our catalog are blocked at signup. The blocklist follows the catalog — when a vendor joins it, its domain is blocked from that moment.

Continuous: existing accounts are re-audited against the current catalog. An account can become non-compliant after registration — for example when its employer enters our catalog — and will be treated the same way.

Reactive: we reserve the right to suspend or permanently exclude any account that violates this policy — including vendor-affiliated accounts registered through workarounds, misrepresented identities, or attempts to influence scores, reviews, or RFP processes. Exclusion is immediate, revokes all active sessions and API access, and may be applied without prior notice.

Proportionate: exclusion under this policy targets the offending account. It does not affect the listing or scoring of any vendor's products — those remain governed solely by the scoring methodology.

    5. Mistakes and appeals

Domain-based rules occasionally catch the wrong account — a consultancy sharing a name with a vendor, an acquired company, a personal domain that looks like a provider. If you believe your account or domain was blocked or excluded in error, contact us at connect@cblindspot.ai. A founder reviews every appeal.
